PS3 Yellow Light Fix

You are probably here because your PS3 has broken down, (after you spent hundreds of bucks purchasing it) and displays a yellow light and you are looking for How to fix the PS3 Yellow light of death?

Btw, Please visit PS3 Yellow light of death if you dont know what it is.

Even I faced this issue and started looking online for some assistance, because I rung Sony and they’d said that it would cost over $150 for them to repair the PS3 yellow light and it would take up to and including 6 weeks! And I wasn’t prepared to wait! So after some scouring online for some help, I found Rob sheffield (a certified PS3 fixer) from  PS3LightsFix.com. At first, I was skeptical, but on going through,I realised  “What have I got to lose, they offer a full refund, if you’re not completely satisfied”. I verified that the refunds and payments are handled by Clickbank, a major retailing giant, that gave me confidence in their money back guarantee. So I went ahead and bought the guide.

Here is a break up of what all I got..

  • 3 Videos clearly detailing every step involved
  • One 57-Page Comprehensive Guide
  • One-on-one help
  • 24/7 Support
  • Bonus “How to get a stuck disk out”, which was handy for me, as my PS3 had eaten my game, while I was playing!
  • PLUS, Bonus “How to install Linux on the PS3”, which people sell (you get it for free)!

I seriously had considered sending off to Sony, but this guide was a god-send! With this guide and videos:

  • It took me 2 hours to repair my PS3 and the less than an hour to fix my friend's PS3
  • It was safe and easy
  • It cost me well below $150, actually I saved myself just over $120!
  • They were clear and concise

Below is a more detailed review of what was inside the package:

Videos- There were 3 videos, each one explaining how to fix the PS3 Yellow Light. They were concise and clear and very great quality too!

Guides- The guide was VERY STRAIGHTFORWARD, I must say. There were many pictures and it wasn’t a fancy technical talk. It was a clear step-by-step run through and wasn’t bombarded with ‘fluff’.

24/7 Help- They really fulfil up to their guarantee. I emailed them and got a reply within 12 hours on a Sunday!

Bonuses- These very really the highlight. Not only did I get 3 Videos and a repair guide, but 2 extra bonuses too. One was ‘how to get a stuck disk out’, which was I needed, because my PS3 ‘ate’ my disk and the other one was ‘how to install Linux on the PS3’, which also came in handy.

The most amazing thing is I made back the money and more by fixing a couple of PS3s in my area. And the count of the YLOD cases only seem to be increasing...this will be the ultimate investment you can make today.

I highly recommend this guide to repair the PS3 Yellow Light issue, from personal experience. You can visit them at PS3LightsFix.com. Don’t delay, visit them today!

  2. Hey, i’m going to try and fix my PS3 for the first time. It YLoDed right after i bought mafia 2 and i was so pissed. When you’ re cleaning the old heat sink compound can you just use rubbing alcohol? I don’t know where to find Isopropyl alcohol. Do you just use a rag to wipe it off? And do you put the heat sink compound just on the two processors, the CPU and the GPU, or do you put in on the 2 heat sink touch plates also? And you also clean the old heat sink compound off the CPU and GPU right?
Thank you so much for your help

  3. Hol, rubbing alcohol is isopropyl. Use the scraper that often comes with the thermal compound to scrape off the dried out Sony compound, then use a cloth or paper towell with rubbing alcohol to clean both the surfaces of the processor heat spreaders and the heat sink blocks. Dry them and buff with a clean cloth to remove the last bit of black residue prior to reflowing ONLY the RSX processor.

After you finish and apply fresh compound to the processors (not to the heat sink blocks), replace the heat sink and DON’T pull it away to see if you got 100% contact. You’ll only cause air bubbles to form and decrease the % of contact between the heat sink blocks and the processors.
